Sudan: Medical Staff and School Teachers On Strike in Um Dukhun, Central Darfur

Um Dukhun — Doctors, nurses, and assisting staff of hospitals and clinics in Um Dukhun locality, Central Darfur, went on strike because they have not received their salaries of November until now. Teachers of the basic and secondary schools in the locality have joined them.

A doctor working for the Um Dukhun hospital told Radio Dabanga that the medical staff in the locality and school teachers decided to suspend their work starting from today (Wednesday). They will only return to work after they have received their November salaries.
