Nigeria: Taraba Names Hospital After Late Speaker

Jalingo — The new Takum General Hospital has been named after the late Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly Haruna Tsokwa.

Acting Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Garba Umar said this on Thursday while commissioning the ultra modern general hospital built at N1,480,000 000.

"As mark of respect to his loving memory and the immortalisation of his shining legacy, I hereby approve this new hospital to be known as the Haruna Tsokwa Memorial General Hospital, Takum," he said.

The acting governor also commissioned a rural electrification project in Suntai, home of Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai as well as a secretariat built for the Yangtu Special Development Area in Kwambai community of the state.
