Kenya: Train Derails, Crashes in Kibera

Cape Town — A cargo train has derailed and crashed into homes in Kibera, where about one million people live.

Emergency services are on the scene, according to Kenya Red Cross, working to free scores of people trapped in damaged houses.

The agency reports that five injured people have been evacuated to Kenyatta National Hospital, while efforts are underway to remove the wreckage.
