Egypt: Electricity Minister - Ready to Implement Nuclear Power Plant

Minister of Electricity and Energy Ahmed Imam asserted that all cards are on the table regarding the implementation of the nuclear power plant, adding that Egypt might assign a company to establish the power plant whether by direct order or international tender. Such a decision would be made by the Supreme Council for the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy headed by President Adli Mansour.

The minister's statements came during a press conference held on Saturday 22/12/2013 to review the situation of the National Grid and its preparation for securing the citizens' needs during next summer.
