Kenya: Sh162 Million for Nakuru Road Development

NAKURU county has released Sh162m for the repair of dilapidated roads in 54 wards. The chairman of the county assembly implementation committee Simon Wanyoike said each ward will get Sh3m.

"The time for politics is long gone and we have now embarked on fulfilling the promises we made to the residents," he said. Wanyoike assured residents that all projects in the county budget will be implemented as promised.

The Lakeview ward representative said the county assembly has the support of the governor and the county executive. "We have embarked on fully implementing all the projects as budgeted for and we ask for the support of area residents," Wanyoike said.

Speaking in Naivasha yesterday, Wanyoike said they expect county revenue to rise by more than 50 per cent following the enactment of the Finance Bill by the assembly.
