Kenya: State Told to Cut Airport Tax
By Philip Mbaji, 24 December 2013
JOMVU MP Badi Twalib wants the government to reduce airport tax to increase the number of tourists visiting the Coast. Twalib said the move would see more tourists coming to Kenya via Mombasa's Moi International Airport.
Speaking during the Mombasa International Carnival at the weekend, the MP said: "This a dynamic sector that can be stretched to greater heights and help absorb the youth who are the majority in this country."
Residents and leaders participated in the carnival, which showcased Coastal cultures.
