Liberia: Seven Out, Eight Qualify for Quarter Finals

Eight out of the fifteen counties participating in the 2013-2014 National County Sports Meet have qualified for the next rounds of quarter finals slated for the first week of January 2014 at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

According to results of games played thus far, in Buchannan Grand Bassa County, host Bassa, in both Kickball and football qualified along with Grand Kru who also qualified in both categories in Group A, in Group B, Bong County football and kickball teams qualified along with Montserrado Counties, while in Group C, host Lofa and Margibi qualified in both categories.

The last Group was D which had Nimba qualifying in both football and kickball along with Sinoe County, amounting to eight teams qualifying for the quarter final stages at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville.

Meanwhile, the rest of the seven other contenders, Bomi, Grand Gedeh, Maryland, Grand Cape Mount, River Gee, Gbapolu and Rivercess were unable to book their way through for the SKD.
