Angola - Army Commander Stresses 2013 Achievements

Luanda - The Angolan Army Commander, general Lúcio do Amaral, considered on Tuesday, in Luanda province that 2013 was satisfactory, thus it allowed the reconstruction and construction of several infrastructures that provided new images of that institution linked to the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).

Among the infrastructures that were reconstructed are the army clinic, the construction of health centers at level of big military bases, and the center of instruction, built to improve the working conditions and quartering the troops.

According to the general, who was speaking on the occasion of presenting the assessment report on 2013 activities, the Angolan army, despite of reconstruction activities, it has also engaged in training and vocational training as well as technical refreshment of personnel, aimed to manage big, medium and small military bases in the various specialty and improve the human resource and material management.

"The wind that faces our continent and other parts of the world, take us to reflect permanently that is necessary the soldiers of army to keep improving the technical capacity, intellectual and Professional skills aimed to be ready in serving the country, people, the democratic institutions when it is necessary on the base of the constitution and the law", he said.

Meanwhile the chief of Army called on the soldiers to be engaged in the tasks of combative, operative, and educative and patriotic preparation, thus participating actively and vigorously in classes and activities aimed for 2014 - 2015 military instruction.
