IRAMBA District Council in Singida Region expects to collect more than 31.5bn/- from its various sources of funds during the 2014/15 fiscal year, District Director Halima Mpita said this during a full council meeting recently.
The director said that out of the 31.5bn/-, a total of 1.4bn/- will emanate from internal sources; 18.9bn/- will come from the Central Government as subvention (for salaries) and 4bn/- will meet expenses that do not involve salaries and 6.9bn/- will meet project costs.
"We expect the 'wananchi' in our district to contribute financially and materially in a quest to implement development projects that are currently in hand.
The total cost of the initiative in this aspect is 530m/-," she said. The director also said that the council anticipates raising a total of 1.5bn/- from donations from development partners.
The money will be channelled into project ventures. By the end of financial year 2013/14, the council expects to collect 16bn/-. Until October 31, this year the council had collected 6.bn/-.
