Egypt: Salafi Party Urges "Yes" Vote On Constitution to Thwart Sedition

The Salafi Nour Party has called on Egyptians to vote for the constitution in the referendum set to take place in January.

The constitution's success is the greatest response to those instigating sedition in Egypt, said party spokesman Sherif Taha on Wednesday.

There are internal and external parties that do not want the referendum process to go through, the state-run agency MENA reported Taha as saying.

These parties want more chaos and instability to generate more violence, he said.

Taha urged Egyptians to vote and to steer clear from violence and counter-violence.
