Egypt: One Killed, 16 Injured in New Damietta Clashes

One person was killed and 16 were injured in New Damietta on Friday when clashes erupted between Muslim Brotherhood supporters on one side and police forces and residents on the other, a security source in Damietta said.

Ammar Ahmed al-Rammal, 18, was shot dead with live ammunition in clashes that broke out on Refaat Mahgoub Street.

In Damietta, hundreds of pro-army demonstrators rallied while carrying pictures of army chief Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and chanting pro-constitution slogans.
