Kenya: Two Die in Road Crash

Two people have died in two different accidents on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. In the first accident, a woman died and scores of passengers were injured after a bus hit a matatu near Gilgil town yesterday morning.

The bus rammed into the rear of the matatu, which lost control and rolled several times killing the woman on the spot.

Gilgil police boss Serah Koki said the two vehicles were heading towards Naivasha town from Nakuru when the accident occurred.

In the second accident, a trader who was crossing the highway was killed by a speeding car near Kayole estate in Naivasha town in a hit and run incident.

According to a witness, the man was from a bar, where he had been drinking, when he was knocked down on Thursday night.
