Nigeria: Day Grieving Families of Fallen Heroes Got Relief

Kano — Thousands of personnel of the Nigerian Army have been battling fiercely the raging insurgency that is sweeping across parts of northern Nigeria, especially in the last two years. Their efforts have succeeded in severely emasculating the growing violence, which has claimed thousands of lives.

But the seeming victory of the military men over the insurgents could be said to have been secured at a great cost and sacrifice. In most of the places affected by the Boko Haram violence, where soldiers fought the insurgents fiercely, military personnel also incurred casualties, sometimes heavily.
