Gambia: Study Tour Takes Gambian Students to Key Facilities in Senegal

Dakar, Senegal — A weeklong study tour, undertaken by 68 members of The Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI) Students' Union has taken the young scholars to various faculties at Cheikh Anta Diop University as well as other facilities in Dakar, Senegal. The initiative is a key item on the students' activity calendar in their quest to strengthen the already existing relationship between them and their host. The programme, among other things, avail the opportunity for students of both institutions to share skills and experiences with a view to respond to academic challenges they are faced with.

The link between the GTTI Students' Union and the Science Faculty of Cheikh Anta Diop University started back in 2007 after the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at instituting and upholding the spirit of unionism that would lead to academic success and professional skills development.
