Kenya: Police Hunt for Boda Bodas

Police in Kitale have mounted the search on bodaboda operators who burnt a Toyota car.

The motorbike operators burnt down a Toyota car belonging to Samuel Maina after it involved in an accident with the bodaboda rider at Lions area.

Base commander Justus Njeru said the motorbike operator who involved in an accident was on the wrong on a round about where he collided with the car head on.

"It is not in order that people should take the laws into their hands, our officers have intensified the search and I am optimistic we will arrest and prosecute the culprits" said Njeru.

He said after the commotion with the bodabodas, the in a bid to rescue himself and his wife took a direction towards Kibomet area but the operators overpowered him and left the car near labour offices where the group burnt the car beyond recognition.
