Egypt: Intensive Security Measures to Secure New Year Celebrations

Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim, in his meeting with security officials, discussed the security plan to be implemented on New Year's celebrations.

The 4-day plan depends on deploying stationed and mobile security checkpoints to secure roads.

Security directorates will take intense measures in the vicinity of churches and places of assembly.

Health directorates also announced a state of emergency in hospitals and ambulance.

The same preparations have also been taken by the sectors of electricity, drinking water and sanitation.
