Sudan: West Darfur Man Slain for Motorcycle

Murnei — Gunmen killed a resident of the Murnei camp for the displaced in West Darfur on Monday.

An eyewitness told Radio Dabanga that on Monday evening two militiamen on a motorcycle were standing near the Solo basic school in El Wadi neighbourhood in Murnei. When Abdallah Musa Mohamed (30) passed by, they stopped him, intending to steal his motor cycle. When Mohamed refused to give up the key of his vehicle, they shot him in the chest, killing him instantly.

The offenders fled without being able to take the motorcycle, as people from the neighbourhood rushed to the spot.

The witness added that the incident was reported to Unamid.
