Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) officials say they are faced with logistical challenges in preparations for the National Open tournament, local boxing's annual flagship calendar event.
The newly-formed federation, which took over the ruins of local boxing last September after seven years of wrangling, requires up to Shs 25m to successfully organize the Open. Paul Ayiasi, organizing secretary of UBF, says they are yet to secure sponsors to finance the tournament.
