Kenya: Police Probe Mum's Murder in Kilifi

POLICE in Kilifi are investigating the murder of a middle-aged woman who was hacked to death in Majaoni village Kilifi county. Dhahabu Juma, 45 was killed by two men who way laid her on her way to her brother in law's homestead. She was in the company of her 10-year old daughter.

Kilifi Police boss Justin Nyaga said the attack occured at around 7.30 pm on Monday. "We received a call from a villager in Majaoni in the evening.He informed us of the attack. When we got to the scene, we found the woman lying in a pool of blood. She had two deep cuts on her neck," he said.Nyaga was addressing the press in his office in Kilifi yesterday. He said the diseased was on her way to her brother-in- law's home when she was attacked.

"While she was about to reach the village, two people appeared from a nearby bush and attacked her with a sharp object. She died due to heavy bleeding," Nyagah said.
