Africa: CAF Awards 2013 - the Three Finalists Revealed!

They were 5 finalists announced a few weeks ago. Now they are just 3. CAF (Confederation of African Football) released Tuesday the final short-list of three nominees for the title of "Best African Player of the Year". It is unsurprisingly Yaya Toure, double title holder, his compatriot Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel of Nigeria.

The three finalists in the category of " Best African player evolving on the continent" , there are two Egyptians, Ahmed Fathy and Mohamed Aboutrika. The other challenger for the price is no one but the last hero of Afcon final, the Nigerian Sunday Mba.

Winners will be announced Jan. 9 during a colorful gala in Lagos, Nigeria.
