Kenya: NCPB Yet to Hit Maize Target

Eldoret The NCPB has so far bought about 400,000 bags of maize out of the targeted 1 million to boost the Strategic Grain Reserves.
The board expects to buy the remaining bags this month. "We are still receiving maize from farmers and we expect more in the next few weeks," NCPB spokesman Evans Wasike told the Star on the phone yesterday.
