By Wambua Kavila, 2 January 2014
Machakos county is in the process of launching a savings and credit society that will offer cheap loans to the residents. The county women's representative Susan Musyoka yesterday said the youth and women will be given priority.
"One of the ways to eradicate poverty is to encourage a culture of saving and this sacco will strive to boost the youth and women of the county," she said.
Musyoka was speaking to the press in Machakos town. She took issue with the recent parastatal appointments saying gender rule was not followed.
