The Growth and Transformation Plan that envisages the expansion of micro and small enterprises and encouraging labor intensive economic sectors have resulted in dramatic increases in employment. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction in the three years since the launching of the Growth and Transformation Plan four million jobs have been created. All government administration organs have made a concerted effort to realize the objectives of the GTP, especially jobs creation. From federal agencies to town administrations in regional states the government had implemented its policy of opening up employment opportunities for millions of citizens, resulting in an achievement that exceeds the target set for the period by over a million. Accordingly the government has been providing simplified loan facilities without the standard collateral requirements, land, technical and vocational trainings for micro and small enterprises and marketing support in the form of preferential treatments for government procurement and organizing trade fairs for the enterprises.
