Kenya: Leaders Urged to Help the Needy in Nakuru County

3 January 2014

Nakuru Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika has called on the county government to help poor families. Kihika said leaders from Nakuru should fund children centres that languish in poverty.

"As leaders of this county, we need to help street families and children to fight poverty," she said. Kihika was speaking in Nakuru town yesterday after donating clothing and food to St Pisit Children's Home in Kaptembwo ward. She said the fight against poverty is a collective responsibility.
