Tunisia: 'The Constitution Will Be Adopted Ahead of the Third Anniversary of the Revolution' (ben Jaafar)

Tunis — "Ahead of the 3rd anniversary of the revolution, the constitution will be adopted and the Independent High Authority for the Election (IHAE) will be set up", affirmed on Thursday evening National Constituent Assembly Speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar in an interview with public TV channel 'Al-Wataniya I'.

He also said that the IHAE is the only party entitled to set the date of next elections, in reaction to the call of Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki to hold the elections before next summer.

Besides, he reckoned that PM designate Mehdi Jomaa should not be under pressure to keep some ministers of the outgoing cabinet in his own cabinet.
