Egypt: Scientific Research Minister Opens 1st Experimental Station for Solar Concentrators

Scientific Research Minister Ramzi Estino opened the first experimental station for solar concentrators on Thursday 02/01/2013.

The move came as part of an agreement between the Science and Technology Fund, Cairo University and researchers at the Faculty of Engineering.

The opening was attended by a host of state officials, including Higher Education Minister Hossam Issa, State Minister of Environment Laila Iskandar, President of Cairo University Gaber Nassar and a host of former ministers.

The project is considered a main step toward establishing a base for local production of assembled units of solar concentrators, Estino said.
