Somalia: Civilians Affected in Mogadishu Landmine Blast

At least one person was killed and three others were wounded in a landmine blast in Mogadishu's Yaqshid neighborhood on saturday. The landmine blast which seemed to be targeted at the district commissioner but has missed causing civilian casualty.

A woman passing the road was killed in the blast and three other persons were seriously affected, health officials and eyewitnesses confirmed. Dozens were arrested after the explosion as security forces immediately launched search operation to nub those behind the blast.

Saturday's attack came three days after double suicide blasts in the capital lost the lives of more than 10 security forces. There were no immediate comment from government's security officials.
