Kenya: Official Bids for Nyumba Kumi

KWALE Residents in Msambweni have been told to be patriotic and "jealously guard their security". Addressing locals at Ukunda stage on Tuesday, Kwale county commissioner Evans Achoki said they should embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative to boost security.

He said everyone has a role to play in safeguarding the region by ensuring they share crucial information with security agents. In December, a Muslim cleric and two faithful were gunned down. And on Thursday, a grenade attack in Diani injured 10 people.
