Egypt: Supply Minister - Reserves of Ration Commodities Are Sufficient Until June

Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Mohamed Abu Shadi said that expansion in the establishment of huge bread bakeries would secure 50% of flour quotas, asserting that works on those bakeries are mechanized.

Abu Shadi pointed out that the establishment of such bakeries would end the black market.

Abu Shadi further noted that the General Authority for Supply Commodities reached contracts for buying 150,000 tons of Russian and Romanian wheat under an international tender.

The reserves of ration commodities are sufficient until June, he added.
