We now live in times where divorces and separation have become the order of the day. Couples these days find it very easy to go to courts to seek either a divorce or separation from each other. The major reason is almost always infidelity.

Celebrity marriages that have tumbled and crashed make the most news. The list of celebrities with failed marriages is endless. Despite the trend, seven popular couples have proven the exception, with strenghtened love for each other over the years. They are icons not just in the Nigerian movie industry, but also in the industry of love. New Media brings these couples to you and the comments from people.

Olu and Joke Jacobs: The couple is undoubtedly the oldest in Nollywood today and have been married for almost 30 years. In 2011, they renewed their marital vows.

Fela and Tara Durotoye: Fela is a motivational speaker and business coach and Tara an entrepreneur. She runs the popular House of Tara. After 10 years of marriage, their love is waxing stronger without letting their fame, achievements and success get into their heads.

Comments from admirers

Ajibola Olanipekun: This is the kind of news that should be aired, posted and shared on social networks, especially for Nigerians, actors, actresses and entertainers. It's, indeed, food for thought for those in the entertainment industry.

Emeka Alvan Orakwue: If you see any artiste who will make a good husband and or wife you will know him/her, even from the way he/she acts on screen. Good news.

Izyk Ogbonlaiye: This is the kind of post or story we expect from you not the ones that tell us about naked people or failed marriages. When you post stories about 10 different people whose marriages have waxed stronger after 20 years of marriage, I'm sure you would be saving many homes.

Adeyemi Janet: This is wonderful. These are marriages worth emulating among our celebrities, especially Nollywood actors/actresses

Chioma Lynda: This, indeed, is worthy. That is the kind of news we want to hear so that other actors/actresses will emulate from it.

Sarah Eric: They are indeed, tough, because only tough people can stand the test of time. Wishing them more graceful years ahead!

Gladdys Sunama: Their marriages were built on solid foundations, They cannot sink. One wonders how these couples have been able to stick together for these numbers of years, especially in the movie industry, despite what happens around them. They are truly worthy of emulation. May their marriages keep waxing stronger. The younger generation should learn from them.
