South Sudan's Kiir Officially Invites Turabi to Visit Juba, Says Party Official

Khartoum — Sudan's opposition Popular Congress Party (PCP) has disclosed that its leader, Hassan Al-Turabi, received an official invitation from South Sudan's president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, to visit Juba saying that he accepted it and would travel to Juba in due course.

The PCP political secretary, Kamal Omer Abdel-Salam, said that on the other hand they rejected the invitation extended to them by the presidency to attend celebrations of the 58th Independence Day at the presidential palace, accusing the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) of stealing country's resources and directing it to support its militias and targeting opposition forces.
