Liberia: Defendants Disrupt Court

Several Liberians, predominantly Grand Gedeans charged with mercenarism at the Criminal Court "D" are said to have gone on the rampage, rebelling against the trial court, as staff took to their heels on Monday.

Criminal Court "D" Presiding Judge Yussif D. Kaba, says the violent nature and rebellion of the defendants was such that staff had to escape the bailiwick of the court for safety.
