Eritrea: Afabet Residents to Step Up Input in Implementation of Development Activities

Afabet — The residents of Afabet semi-urban center said that they would step up input in the implementation of development activities through fostering community organization. They further stated that community undertakings conducted in the locality targeting soil and water conservation, afforestation and environmental hygiene have borne positive outcome, and that sustained communal activities are a prerequisite for the realization of still more gratifying accomplishment.

Mr. Shifa Mahmoud, Administrator of the Western Administrative area of Afabet, expressed appreciation for such active community participation, and called on the local residents to enhance role to this end.

The community members on their part reaffirmed that they would continue to back up development undertakings.
