Nigeria: Jere Incident - LG Boss Says Land Belongs to Emir

Kaduna — Chairman of Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State, Akuso Yusuf Danjuma, yesterday said the land where the dispute between the emir of Jere and a Gbagyi man took place belongs to the emir, saying the court had since passed judgment that the land belongs to the traditional ruler.

This is just as he blamed the Gbagyi chieftain who was involved in a brawl with the Emir of Jere, Dr. Sa'ad Usman, over a disputed land while debunking the claim made by the Gbagyi chieftain who said he acted in self defence. He explained that the emir stopped over to ask why bulldozers were mobilized on the said piece of land when the incident happened in jere town of Kagarko LGA.
