Ghana: Gov Wins Case Against TLGEM in America

The law suit filed by TJGEM, an American Construction company against the Republic of Ghana, Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), the then Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, the Mayor of Accra, Dr. Alfred Vanderpujie, Conti Group and six other defendants has been dismissed by the United States of America District Court of Columbia.

According to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Marrietta Brew Appiah- Oppong, the District Law Court of Columbia, presided over by Judge Beryl A. Howell, on December 31, 2013, dismissed claims by the TJGEM on grounds that the plaintiff lacks jurisdiction over the matter put before it.
