Kenya: Lamu Groups Receive Sh5 Million From Timammy

LAMU Governor Issa Timammy has issued cheques worth Sh5 million to youth and women groups for development projects. The groups got the cheques from Hazina ya Maendeleo ya Pwani.

The groups that benefitted are Girl Child Protection Youth Group, Pate Island Conservation Self Help Group, Pate Self Help group, Lamu Island Water Resource Users Association and Al-fatah Self Help Group, all from Lamu East.

Speaking yesterday during the issuance of the cheques in Pate, Timammy called on the youth to unite and form youth groups to enable them acquire more funds from donors.
