Egypt: Government Did Not Receive Settlement Offers From Hussein Salem

The Egyptian government has not received any offers from fugitive businessman Hussein Salem to give up half his fortune in Egypt in return for dropping all charges against him.

If such offers were made, they will be considered by relevant bodies, said Cabinet Spokesman Hany Salah, adding that no offers were, however, made by the Mubarak-era multi-billionaire or his lawyers.
