Kenya: MP Onyonka Charged, Freed On Sh40 Million Bond

Nairobi — Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has been freed on a Sh40 million bond or a cash bail of Sh5 million after facing abuse of office and tax evasion charges.

Onyonka was arraigned before Justice Lucy Gitari at the Kisumu Law Courts on Monday, where he denied the charges stemming from failing to pay tax worth Sh21 million to the Kenya Revenue Authority.
