Egypt: Electricity Ministry to Offer to Tender Five Projects With EGP 58 Billion

Ministry of Electricity and Energy decided to offer to tender five giant projects to international and local companies.

Those projects would be carried out by the private sector under the (B.O.T) system with investments of EGP 58 billion.

Such projects will add about 6,350 megawatts to the National Grid and will secure about 4,000 new job openings.

For his part, Minister of Electricity Ahmed Emam said that the electricity sector seeks to carry out those projects especially after the increasing demand for electricity.
