Kenya: Road Poles Irk Matatu Group

14 January 2014

A matatu association has criticised the Kilifi county government for erecting poles on the Mombasa-Malindi highway at Mtwapa town. Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, the chairman Elvis Kipkoech said the move has created unnecessary traffic.

He said the poles have prevented Matatu operators from dropping or picking passengers. Kipkoech said the county government should review its move and remove the poles to allow free movement of vehicles.
