Egypt: Egx Gains Egp 8.7 Billion During Last Week

The Egyptian Exchange indexes closed last week up and the market capital gained EGP 8.7 billion to hit EGP 443 billion.

During the course of the week, the benchmark index EGX 30 jumped 2.42 percent to 7,144 points, said a weekly report issued by the Egyptian Exchange.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) soared 1.21 percent, reaching 564 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up 1.23 percent to hit 959 points.

The capped index EGX 20 increased 2.86 percent, closing at 8,396 points.
