Egypt: U.S. Says Who Will Lead Egypt Is Up to Egyptians Themselves

The US government is looking forward to be informed about the constitutional referendum in Egypt that took place on Tuesday and Wednesday from the Egyptian and international bodies that followed up the voting process, US State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Thursday.

In a press release, she added that US is keen on asserting that the issue concerning who will lead Egypt in the future is up to Egyptians themselves.

The US administration is following closely Egypt's referendum and is waiting for the official announcement of the results," Psaki noted.
