Egypt: PM - Vote Turnout Proves People's Rejection of Terrorism

In a press conference following a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawy said that the high turnout during the two days of the constitution referendum, which were held on January 14 and 15, showed that the Egyptian people support the charter and reject terrorism.

Meanwhile, Head of the Higher Elections Committee (HEC) Counselor Nabil Salib said that the Commission is now revising the results of the constitutional vote count it received so far from main and sub electoral committees across the nation.

He added that the commission will hold a press conference within the coming days to officially announce the results and turnout percentage.
