Kenya: Fire Guts Shops in Gatundu

A building in Karatu shoping centre, Gatundu South subcounty caught fire on Saturday. The fire burned down three shops and nothing was salvaged.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electric fault. Fort Mungara, who operates an M-Pesa outlet in the market, lost more than Sh500 in cash and credit cards. The shop was also stocked with TV set and radios which were destroyed.
