Angola: PND Outlines Justice System Working for Human Rights

The National Development Plan (PND), designed by the Angolan Government for the 2013/2017 period, foresees a Justice system that serves Human Rights with education and awareness programmes for the respect of human rights and observance of the duties of citizenship, addressed to governmental organizations, civil society, schools, public and private media.

The document also expects to broaden the dissemination of public services towards the effectiveness of human rights, promotion of human rights as guidelines for public policies and international relations principles, articulating the recognition of the constitutional "status" of international human rights instruments, be it new or already existent but not yet ratified.
