Angola: Mirex Employees to Be Retired This Year

Luanda — The employees of Ministry of External Relations (Mirex) over 65 years old will be retired, because this is the only public institution that does not fulfill this principle.

This was said by Minister of External Relations, Georges Chikoti, while speaking at the opening ceremony of 5th expanded consultation Council of the sector, which is taking place until Wednesday in Luanda. According to the minister, the fact of not having any retirement process of Mirex workers, the action has caused some negative reaction, thus on his opinion this reaction do not have reason, because according to the law this normal process and is seen in every Angolan Public Institution. To him, the first phase of the process will be carried out in the first quarter of 2014 and it will be extensive to 65 officials, like diplomats, Technicians and administrative personnel.
