Kenyan Parliamentary Committee Faults Immigration Department for Terror Incidents

A Kenyan parliamentary committee tasked with looking into last year's terrorist attacks wants the immigration and registration of persons departments held accountable for their "systemic failure" in vetting people entering the country, Kenya's Daily Nation reported Tuesday (January 21st).

"The Department of Immigration Services, the Registration of Persons Department, the National Registration Bureau and the Department of Refugee Affairs should be held accountable for compromising national security by registering aliens who later turn out to be terrorists," the Joint Committee on Administration and National Security, and Defence and Foreign Affairs said in its report.
