Angola: PND Pledges Commitment to Technological, Scientific Progress

Luanda - The Angolan government is committed to promote scientific and technological progress of the country and create a base of products and processes of national innovation, in accordance with National Development Plan ( PND) 2013/2017 .

According to the programme sent to Angop Tuesday, in the field of Science and Technology the government wants to adapt scientific and technological knowledge available in the world to the National Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation ( ENCTI), considered fundamental for national development policy.

The document stresses that the State will keep training and qualifying national scientific and technological manpower.

The programme also foresees the creation of appropriate infrastructure adequate to the production, dissemination and appropriation of knowledge and innovation.

It is also will encourage the creation of networks and partnerships, at national and international levels, scientific and technological cooperation as well as promoting entrepreneurial innovation.
