Gambia: Mambanyick Njie's Case Suffers Another Setback

The false information trial involving the state against Mambanyick Njie, the former permanent secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Wednesday, 22nd January failed to proceed at the Banjul Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate Hilary Abeke.

When the case was mentioned, Cpl S. Sanyang, the police prosecutor in the case applied for an adjournment on the grounds that the police witness travelled out of the jurisdiction of the court and was yet to come back. Cpl Sanyang urged the court to grant his application.
