An accident involving a lorry at Mwingi paralysed transport on the Mwingi-Garissa highway yesterday. The accident occurred at around 11am near Kivou Bridge, two kilometres from Mwingi Market.
Mwingi police boss Simon Birir said the driver and the turn boy were taken to Mwingi District Hospital with minor injuries. The lorry was ferrying building blocks from Garissa to Nairobi. "We have not yet established the cause of the accident but we have launched investigations," Birir said.
